The Silver Arrow
by Lev Grossman

This book had a good and unexpected message about protecting the Earth but doesn’t get too preachy.

This is the first book of the Lunar Chronicles Series, and I really enjoyed it. The author has a talent for describing the characters and settings, although it's a completely different world than we live in. Highly recommend!

Even More Fantastic Failures
by Luke Reynolds

Instead of focusing on the success of famous people it focuses on their failures that got them to be successful. This book was REALLY good.

Legacy

Reviews were not favorable, but this was a really good summer escape. Characters were relatable and more important, like able. Book made me both laugh and cry in different parts. Always enjoy her strong female characters and the men who recognize that and compliment. Unfortunately the villain was easy to figure out early in the book, but really didn’t emerge until the last section.

I really enjoyed this book. The chapters are broken up into short segments that makes it easy to read in short timeframes. Stories are relatable.

A Duke by Any Other Name

This fourth novel from the "Rogues to Riches" series was good, but not quite as enjoyable as the previous three, but still worth a read. The plot was unique with some twists and turns; the characters were interesting and well-developed; the dialogue was witty, but lacked the humor of the previous novels; and the romance was passionate. A good read. I look forward to the fifth novel in the series.

Very enlightening. Good collection of information. Great for new parents.

The Help
by Kathryn Stockett

Kathryn Stockett creates a neighborhood of characters so interesting and enjoyable, that not only does it carry the story, but the story on top of that makes it even better! Minny, Aibileen, and Skeeter are all characters who you root for throughout the story and create a town that is enjoyable to read about. Kathryn Stockett creates a story built with well-developed characters as well as characters that you will loathe that are made for the story to push further. Overall a very enjoyable read filled with interesting plotlines and characters that you will have strong feelings towards.

I wasn't sure at first that I would like this book, but I actually really did enjoy it. Mother-daughter relationships can be difficult, especially when the daughter is a teenager.

The Book of Two Ways
by Jodi Picoult

I love Jodi Picoult and this book is also so good. She really dives into Egyptology and explains quite a bit. It wasn't as fast a read as some of her other books, but I thoroughly enjoyed the premise of the book and the main character.
